Borough Market – London, England

London

It wouldn’t be fair to post about Monmouth without also posting about Borough Market, so here we go: located just outside London Bridge station, Borough Market is a foodie heaven with over 140 vendors, cafes, and restaurants. With options ranging from fresh produce and meats to made-to-order gourmet bites, you’re sure to find something you like. The best day to go is Saturday, when all of the vendors are open and the market is bustling. Otherwise, the market is in full operation Wednesday through Saturday.

Monmouth Coffee – London, England

London

Located on the outskirts of the vibrant Borough Market, Monmouth serves arguably some of the best coffee in London. This place almost always has a line, sometimes wrapping around the building. There are other locations around the city as well – Covent Garden and Bermondsey (only open on Saturdays). Their beans are sourced from all over the world, roasted at Bermondsey, and delivered to their stores on a daily basis. If you want a seriously good cup of coffee, this place will not disappoint.

London

Just steps away from Holborn station, Hubbard & Bell is situated in the lobby of the Hoxton, a boutique hotel in central London. With its effortlessly cool mix of industrial and midcentury decor, this is the perfect casual spot to grab a bite to eat and hang out for a while. While in the lounge, you can have food, coffee, or cocktails, they also have a full-service restaurant area with formal seating.

Good Town Doughnuts – Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo

Good Town Doughnuts is an American-themed donut shop in the Omotesando neighborhood of Tokyo. This area was one of our favorites in Japan – it’s a collection of narrow backstreets filled with trendy shops and eateries. It seemed like every place we saw was a hidden treasure. We took a break from exploring all of the adorable boutiques and shops to have a strawberry donut and some drinks – lemonade for me and a Nitro cold brew for Callum. We sat in the front window that opens out to the street and enjoyed people watching for a little while.

Padella – London, England

London

If you happen to pass by Padella in the morning, you’ll see their chefs hand-rolling fresh pasta in the window. This place has some of the best Italian food in London, with even better prices. Located right by Borough Market, this little restaurant is always packed. Expect long lines throughout the day, but trust us – it’s worth it! The entrees are a little small, so we’d recommend ordering about 3 plates for 2 people. And don’t forget the appetizers – they’re great too!
